Who We Are

We are an early-stage startup looking to disrupt the data privacy and cybersecurity market. Our product will deliver technology, not process, to help businesses deliver value to consumers while leveraging their data without violating privacy and trust requirements. Our patent-pending innovation combines cryptography, differential privacy, and distributed ledgers, to ensure ownership, and use of, consumer data, adhering to regulations by design.

The Role

The design team at Ketch is responsible for the product experience, service design, and brand. Our team is swiftly growing and faces absolutely new opportunities for better UX. We believe that data privacy is an essential human right and it must be protected. Access to data must be controlled according to the time, terms, and conditions of its owner’s choosing. We’re designing products and tools to help our customers to establish, enforce and scale data privacy programs for their businesses.

We’re looking for an experienced product designer to augment and maintain our design system around foundational patterns, deliver new UI components and library assets, design tools and products, refine CX processes, and facilitate UX research.

Product designers on our team will closely collaborate with the engineering team, driving both decisions that directly impact the design and implementation quality. You’ll collaborate with the product team to facilitate UX hypotheses, validation of ideas, and user journey refinements for a more efficient and approachable product experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Interaction and visual design—you'll be involved at every stage of the product creation flow. You'll help to flash out workflows and in-feature or in-tool interactions and execute a crisp and pixel-perfect visual design.
  • Design and maintain the UI components, UX patterns, and handoff process for our design system.
  • Write specs and experience guidelines to describe how to use components and patterns across the platform.
  • Synthesize and develop early product design concepts around customer experience, onboarding, revenue streams, and holistic experiences on and off the platform.
  • User research—you'll partner with product management org on scouting for product champions and pair qualitative with quantitative methods to deliver actionable insights.
  • Sketching and prototyping—to articulate and validate our ideas fast, “thinking by designing” is the way to roll. We experiment by doing.
  • Collaborate daily with Head of Design on similar tasks and on design decisions for future scale.

You Are

  • You can anticipate how the product will be used, you can empathize with our customers and opportunity space.
  • You have 5+ years of experience as a product designer, or other roles related to digital experience design.
  • You are designing through a story, thinking about the outcomes and impact, not just solving the problem.
  • You collaborate and can build strong relationships with product and engineering teams. You can present and convey the design concept to any audience.
  • You'll create software that changes how people manage data privacy and all operations in this space which means creating new UX standards for the industry. Understanding our customers, the tools they use now and the tools they would like to use is essential.
  • You’re strong with both interaction and visual design. We’re looking for someone who understands that through-through UX is about final output, not the process.

What You Need To Apply

  • A portfolio demonstrating at least two large-scale software interface design projects.
