Odia Kagan is Partner and Chair of GDPR Compliance and International Privacy at Fox Rothschild LLP. She regularly advises clients on issues regarding to compliance with laws and regulations in the privacy and data security fields in the as well as on privacy aspects of acquisition transactions, joint ventures, and engagements of third party vendors.
Ms. Kagan utilizes her in-depth knowledge of EU privacy law and expertise working with US-based companies to assist clients of varying sizes and industries in preparing for compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). She closely follows legal developments and emerging technologies, analyzes their implications on clients’ businesses and, devises pragmatic, actionable solutions for compliance.
Ms. Kagan's professional certifications include: Certified Data Protection Officer (CDPO) by the PEBC; Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), and a Certified Information Privacy Professional in the laws of the US Private Sector (CIPP/US) and in the laws of the European Union (CIPP/E). She has also been recognized by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) as a Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP).
