Ketch and Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud

Build a complete map of where constituent data actually lives across a nonprofit's Salesforce org, including the custom objects generic CRM discovery tools tend to miss.

Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud

About Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud

Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud, built on what was formerly the Salesforce.org Nonprofit Success Pack, gives nonprofits donor management, fundraising, program management, and constituent engagement in one CRM. That combination means personal data spans well beyond standard Contact and Account objects into nonprofit-specific structures like campaigns and custom objects (for example, general accounting units) that a generic Salesforce connector might not recognize as relevant.

Ketch connects to Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud to discover all of it, standard and custom objects alike.

Capabilities

How Ketch works with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud

The discovery mechanism works by authenticating against the connected Salesforce org, automatically detecting the latest available API version, retrieving the full list of queryable objects, and then calling a describe endpoint against each one to pull field-level metadata: field name, label, data type, and other properties. If a particular object returns a permission error during discovery, that object is skipped and discovery continues across the rest, rather than the whole process failing.Once discovery completes, Ketch can generate privacy findings directly from what it discovers, for example, flagging systems with personal data that aren't yet covered by a DSR workflow, or objects processing data without consent syndication in place.

Discovery

Automatically finding the Salesforce objects and fields where personal data may reside. Connects via OAuth (no managed package, Salesforce Site, or permission-set configuration required, unlike the rights-and-consent-capable Salesforce integrations) and covers both standard Nonprofit Cloud objects (Contact, Account, Opportunity, Campaign) and Nonprofit Success Pack-specific and other custom objects in the org.

With Ketch, teams can

  • Discover personal data across both standard and custom Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud objects, including Nonprofit Success Pack-specific structures
  • Connect via OAuth alone, without setting up a managed package, Salesforce Site, or permission sets
  • Get automatic privacy findings that surface gaps, like discovered data not yet covered by rights or consent workflows
  • Continue discovery across the rest of an org even if specific objects hit permission errors

The gap

The problem this integration solves

Nonprofit-specific CRM structures create real blind spots for generic data discovery approaches:

01. A discovery tool built around standard Salesforce objects alone can miss nonprofit-specific custom objects where donor or constituent data actually lives

02. Manually cataloging every object and field across a Salesforce org, standard and custom, doesn't scale and risks missing exactly the objects a generic checklist wouldn't think to check

03. A data inventory that exists but isn't connected to actual privacy findings (gaps in DSR coverage, missing consent syndication) doesn't do much to actually reduce risk

Ketch resolves this by discovering both standard and custom objects automatically, without requiring extra setup, and by turning that discovery into actionable findings rather than a static inventory.

Why Ketch

Why teams choose Ketch for Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud privacy compliance

Permissioning infrastructure that governs Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud the same way it governs every other system in your stack — not a one-off connector bolted onto a banner.

  • Sees the custom objects a generic connector would miss

Nonprofit Success Pack-specific structures are discovered alongside standard Salesforce objects, not treated as out of scope.

  • No managed package or Salesforce Site required

OAuth alone is sufficient for Discovery, keeping setup lighter than the rights-and-consent-capable Salesforce integrations.

  • Discovery that produces findings, not just an inventory

Ketch surfaces specific gaps, like personal data not yet covered by a DSR workflow, directly from what discovery finds.
