Ketch and Salesforce Marketing Cloud

Delete a customer's data across every channel Marketing Cloud runs, in one action, rather than chasing down Email, mobile, and push separately.

Salesforce Marketing Cloud

About Salesforce Marketing Cloud

Salesforce Marketing Cloud runs customer relationships and campaigns across multiple channel applications at once: Email, MobileConnect (SMS), MobilePush, and GroupConnect (messaging apps like LINE and WeChat). A person's data isn't confined to one of those; it's spread across whichever channels a campaign touched them through, plus lists, audiences, journeys, and Einstein analytics built on top of that same data.

Ketch connects to Marketing Cloud to reach all of that in a single deletion request.

Capabilities

How Ketch works with Salesforce Marketing Cloud

The Ketch Salesforce Marketing Cloud integration covers Rights Orchestration (Right to Deletion, Right to Access) and Preference Orchestration.

Rights Orchestration

Right to Access retrieves the contact information associated with a customer. Right to Delete removes the contact record from Email, MobileConnect, MobilePush, and GroupConnect together, along with lists, audiences, journeys, and Einstein analytics data, all at the enterprise level, not scoped to a single business unit or channel.

Preference Orchestration

Supports two distinct modes. Against All Subscribers, Ketch looks up every user with a given email across the entire subscriber base and changes their subscription status directly. Against specific Lists, Ketch looks up a user within a particular list and removes them on unsubscribe, or adds them back on subscribe. A global unsubscribe operates against All Subscribers, which Salesforce Marketing Cloud itself then treats as unsubscribed from all marketing communications.

With Ketch, teams can

  • Delete a customer's data across four channel applications (Email, MobileConnect, MobilePush, GroupConnect) plus lists, audiences, journeys, and analytics in one enterprise-level action
  • Manage subscription preferences at either the All Subscribers level or the specific List level, matching how a given campaign structure actually works
  • Trigger a genuine global unsubscribe that Salesforce Marketing Cloud itself recognizes as opting someone out of all marketing communications

The gap

The problem this integration solves

A multi-channel campaign platform spreads a person's data across more surfaces than a single-channel deletion request would reach:

01. Manually tracking down and removing a specific person's data across four channel applications plus lists, audiences, and journeys doesn't scale to real request volume

02. Assuming a list-level unsubscribe is the same as a full opt-out misses the real distinction between per-list and All Subscribers-level preference management

Ketch resolves the first two by executing deletion at the enterprise level across every channel application at once, and addresses the third by supporting both preference modes distinctly, matching whichever level of control a campaign structure actually needs.

Why Ketch

Why teams choose Ketch for Salesforce Marketing Cloud privacy compliance

Permissioning infrastructure that governs Salesforce Marketing Cloud the same way it governs every other system in your stack — not a one-off connector bolted onto a banner.

  • Deletion that reaches every channel at once

One request removes data from Email, MobileConnect, MobilePush, and GroupConnect together, along with lists, audiences, journeys, and analytics, at the enterprise level.

  • Preference management at the right granularity

All Subscribers and List-level modes are both supported, matching how a given campaign or subscription structure actually organizes people.

  • Backed by enforcement precedent

The California Attorney General reached a $1.55 million settlement with Healthline Media over sharing sensitive data with advertisers without valid consent, a reminder that multi-channel CRM and campaign platforms carry real exposure when deletion doesn't reach every channel a person's data actually lives in.
